Java 11 Tutorials

Java 11, released in September 2018, was the first long-term support (LTS) release after Java moved to a six-month release cadence, and is the version many applications moved to from Java 8. It added a standard HTTP Client, var in lambda parameters, running single-file programs with the java command and many new API methods, and removed the Java EE and CORBA modules. In this section you will find tutorials on the features introduced in Java 11.

In case you are new to Java 11, start with the Overview of New Features in Java 11, then read the HTTP Client API Tutorial. If you are migrating from Java 8, also read about the modules removed in Java 11. For the features of the previous releases, see the Java 9 and Java 10 Tutorials.
